LaCie 500GB External HDD Designed by F.A. Porsche

Time MachineWith the imminent release of Mac OS X Leopard later this week I went out and did a bit of online shopping at dabs.com for a new external hard disk drive as my 250GB Seagate is running out of free space quick fast. I purchased myself a 500GB External Hard Drive from LaCie designed by none other than F.A. Porsche (Ferdinand Alexander Porsche) the designer of the original Porsche 911!

The reason I bought myself a new one wasn’t just the fact that my old one was almost full, but for the most eagerly awaited addition to the Mac OS X Leopard Operating System; Time Machine.

Time Machine is the breakthrough automatic backup that’s built right into Mac OS X. It keeps an up-to-date copy of everything on your Mac — digital photos, music, movies and documents. So if you ever have the need, you can easily go back in time to recover anything.

Good find. I loved the casing so much that I decided to pick up a 120GB bus powered version. Thanks for the info.
