Apple tracking their iPhones IMEI Codes

I just read an article titled EXCLUSIVE: Apple Secretly Tracking iPhone IMEI and Usage and I have to say I was a little shocked to see that Apple were tracking their iPhone customers like this even if we did agree to it in the EULA (I should really read those!). With that said, it is my iPhone, I own it and I feel I can do with it what I like, including unlocking the device and using it on whichever network pleases me. Luckily I am not one of the many who are worried about Apple knowing which stocks they are checking and the weather in their local area.

Also, just to note; it appears the iPhone does not send IMEI information back to apple. Rumor defunct.
