Shortwave is an extensible quick-search and shortcut system.
Shortwave is a quick little app that Shaun Inman created in 24 hours (a current trend, I’ve got one coming soon too!) that is proving to be a very useful little tool, especially on the iPhone. You can customise the shortcut system with your own commands, my waves.txt file includes a few additional commands including Google UK Search.

I think it’s really interesting that there are people like yourself sharing your Waves while at the same time there are fanatically privacy-sensitive individuals recreating Shortwave purely in JavaScript to avoid an unseen, unrecorded jump through a third-party domain. I expected neither extreme. To each his own right?
