First and foremost I would like to say a huge Congratulations to one of my best friends, Matt, who has just today become a fully trained and qualified Chef! He left school four years ago and has worked incredibly hard to get to where he is today. For the past two and half years he has been working in one of Sydney’s Top Restaurants, Aria. Congrats Matt, can’t wait to see him in a kilt as my best man at my wedding!
Aria for Dinner
Friday night saw Matt, Rebecca, myself and four of our other friends having dinner at Aria. We went to the Opera Bar at the Opera House for a quick drink before dinner. We also had a drink at the Bar in Aria before sitting at our table in the main room at the front of the restaurant facing the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The food was fantastic, and with plenty of wine flowing we had an excellent meal! Matt made sure that the kitchen sent out some extra foods to try and we somehow managed to go through about 7 different bottles of wine, including desert wines!
After the meal we got a tour of the kitchen that spans across two levels, and the rest of the restaurant including the back and function room. Unfortunatly we didn’t get a chance to check out either of the two wine cellers.. maybe next time!
It was a fantastic meal, and a great night. We really enjoyed ourselves and I will definitely be taking Rebecca there again soon!
